Teddy Sheringham in Dhaka to watch son Charlie in action

Former Manchester United star Teddy Sheringham arrived in Dhaka Sunday morning to watch his son Charlie Sheringham play in the Bangladesh Premier League's 16th round match between Saif Sporting Club and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited in the evening at Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka. The former English international forward, who has been the head coach of Indian Super League side Atletico de Kolkata since July this year, will stay here for only a day as the 51-year old is scheduled to leave the capital Monday morning, said Saif Sporting general secretary Mahbubur Rahman Suman to Dhaka Tribune.

Charlie signed for big-spending premier league newcomer Saif Sporting a day before the mid-season players’ transfer deadline day on November 9. Prior to Sunday's game, the 29-year old striker featured in four BPL matches so far, scoring two, including one on his debut. Charlie earlier told the media that he might invite his father to Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Teddy played for England from 1993 to 2002. He played for several English Premier League clubs like United, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United. He won the Uefa Champions League title with United in 1999 and was also adjudged PFA Players' Player Of The Year in 2001.
