The Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the squad Sunday for the Asian Cricket Council Men’s Twenty20 Emerging Teams Cup Oman 2024.
Wicketkeeper-batter Akbar Ali has been selected as captain and the opening batter Saif Hasan nominated as vice-captain.
The competition will be held in Muscat from October 16 to 27.
Bangladesh A side, or emerging team, have been pitted in Group A along with Sri Lanka A, Afghanistan A and Hong Kong while India A, Pakistan A, United Arab Emirates and hosts Oman are in Group B.
Bangladesh will play their first game against Hong Kong on October 18.
They will then play their second and third match against Afghanistan A and Sri Lanka A on October 20 and 22 respectively.
