Defending champions Comilla Victorians beat Khulna Tigers by seven wickets in Chittagong’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium Wednesday to go second in the Bangladesh Premier League points table.
Both table-toppers Rangpur Riders and Comilla have 14 points from nine matches but the former are ahead by virtue of superior net run rate.
The Tigers in contrast are fifth with eight points from nine games.
Batting first, Khulna posted 164 runs losing eight wickets, Evin Lewis scoring the highest 36.
Moeen Ali and Matthew Forde bagged two wickets each for the Victorians.
In reply, Comilla romped home in 16.3 overs riding on Towhid Hridoy’s unbeaten 47-ball 91, featuring seven fours and as many sixes, and Jaker Ali’s 40 not out.
