The only unbeaten side so far in the 2024 Bangladesh Premier League, Khulna Tigers continued their march to the playoffs with a fourth consecutive win, this time by 10 wickets against Durdanto Dhaka in Sylhet Monday.
Batting first, the capital city outfit got off to a good start as the openers Saim Ayub (35) and Mohammad Naim (41) put on 75 runs.
Dhaka then lost their way as Khulna took wickets at regular intervals to restrict the opposition to 130 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
Mohammad Nawaz bagged three wickets, while Mohammad Wasim and Mukidul Islam picked up two each.
In reply, the table toppers raced to the target in 14.4 overs with all of their wickets intact, only the fourth such instance in BPL history.
Captain Anamul Haque was unbeaten on 58 alongside Afif Hossain, who was not out on 37, after opener Evin Lewis earlier retired hurt on 26.
Dhaka, second from bottom with just one win from four matches, deployed eight bowlers but none were able to fashion a breakthrough.
