Bangladesh Women’s Under-19 cricket team swept into the final of the U-19 tri-nation Twenty20 series after edging past their Sri Lankan counterparts by just one run in Sunday’s match in Cox’s Bazar.

Batting first, the home side posted 114 for the loss of six wickets, riding on player of the match Rabeya Khan’s unbeaten 50.

Defending the target, the young Tigresses restricted the visitors to 113 for five to register their third win in a row after beating Pakistan U-19 by 36 runs in the last match and the Lankans by five wickets in the tournament opener.

Pakistan U-19 and Sri Lanka U-19 will do battle Monday before Bangladesh U-19 face Pakistan U-19 Wednesday in the last round robin clash.
