Avishka Fernando’s unbeaten 91 and Curtis Campher’s all-round display guided Chattogram Challengers to a 10-run win over Fortune Barishal in the Bangladesh Premier League in Sylhet Saturday.

Avishka's brilliant 50-ball knock, featuring five fours and seven sixes, helped the Challengers to a formidable total of 193 for four after being asked to bat first.

The Barishal bowlers struggled to contain Avishka's onslaught, with Campher adding to the carnage with a quickfire 29 off nine deliveries.

In reply, Barishal fought valiantly, with Ahmed Shehzad's aggressive 39 off 17 balls and Mehedi Hasan Miraz's explosive 35 off 16 keeping the contest alive.

However, Campher's exceptional bowling figure of 4/20 tilted the game in favor of the port city outfit.

Captain Tamim Iqbal scored 33 off 30 and Mushfiqur Rahim 23 off 22 while Mahmudullah was out for three as Barishal eventually managed 183 for seven.

Chattogram jumped to second position in the points table following their third victory in four matches while Barishal are fifth after a third loss in four games.

Chattogram Challengers 193/4 (Fernando 91*, Shahadat 31) beat Fortune Barishal 183/7 (Shehzad 39, Campher 4/20) by 10 runs
