Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team set foot in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh Saturday morning for the quadrangular series where they would come up against their English counterparts alongside the India U-19 “A” and “B” side.
The young Tigers left Dhaka Friday evening for the series, which will form part of their preparation for the upcoming U-19 Asia Cup in the United Arab Emirates next month.
The youngsters in red and green will take on India U-19 A side in their opening match Monday before facing the remaining two teams in the double round robin league on November 15, 17, 20, 22 and 24.
The final and third place decider will be held on November 27.
Bangladesh U-19 will return home a day later and turn their attention to the 10th edition of the U-19 Asia Cup where they have been drawn in Group B along with the hosts, Sri Lanka and Japan.
Group A comprises India, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nepal.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The young Tigers will begin their campaign against UAE U-19 on December 9 in Dubai.
