Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan has decided not to participate in the ongoing Indian Premier League, according to several media reports.
Shakib has national team commitment during the IPL which includes solitary Test match against Ireland starting in Mirpur Tuesday and the three-match one-day international series against the same opponents away in May.
His franchise Kolkata Knight Riders asked Shakib whether they could replace him with another player for the season which was reportedly accepted.
