As Bangladesh made another record highest total in one-day Internationals in their second match against Ireland, some of the cricketers also reached individual milestones at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Monday.
Mushfiqur Rahim blasted a 60-ball century in Bangladesh's 349/6, which is their highest total now, going past 338/6, a score that they piled up just 48 hours ago in the first game against the same opponents at the same venue, reports BSS.
Mushfiq's hundred came in the last ball of the innings when he clipped Graham Hume towards deep midwicket for a single.
He faced just 60 balls to reach the magical figure and became the fastest Bangladesh centurion, eclipsing his long term colleague Shakib al Hasan.
The maverick all-rounder took 63 balls when he reached his ton against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo in 2009.
It means Shakib's record was intact for 14 years before Mushfiq finally overtook him.
Even though he became the fastest Bangladesh centurion, in overall fastest ton list, his name came in 33rd.
Overall the fastest centurion of the world is still South African talisman AB de Villiers who brought up his century off just 31 balls against the West Indies in Johannesburg in 2015.

En route to his century, Mushfiq also reached 7,000-run landmark as only the third Bangladeshi after Tamim Iqbal and Shakib.
His feat came in 229 innings as he needed 55 runs to touch the milestone before this match.
Tamim crossed 7,000 runs in 204 innings while Shakib needed 216 knocks to achieve the feat.
Liton Das also became the ninth Bangladeshi but joint fastest to reach 2,000-run landmark.
He reached the milestone in 65 innings, the same number of innings required by Shahriar Nafees.
He made 70 runs in the game but touched the landmark when he scored 55.
Overall South African great Hashim Amla is the fastest to reach the 2000-run milestone, bringing it up in 40 innings.
Meanwhile, captain Tamim became the first Bangladeshi to reach 15,000-run milestone in three formats during his 23-run knock against Ireland in the second ODI.
He scored 5,082 runs in Tests, 8,169 in ODIs and 1,758 in Twenty20 internationals.
