Persistent showers forced a no-result in the first T20 International of the three-match series between the West Indies and Bangladesh at Windsor Park in Dominica Saturday.
The West Indies captain Nicholas Pooran earlier won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat first.
At the toss, Bangladesh skipper Mahmudullah said, “We would've wanted to bowl first as well. We should stick to our process. The West Indies are a good T20I team and we should play well. It's a new wicket. We need to assess the conditions on the go.
“It is a good toss to lose, we will see how we get on with this game. We will try to get a good score and try to build some momentum. We are playing with three spinners, two fast bowlers and a few all-rounders as well.”
