Bangladesh announces T20 World Cup squad

Mahmudullah will lead the side as they begin their campaign in the first round taking on Scotland in their opening game on October 17

Bangladesh Cricket Board Thursday announced the 15-member squad for the T20 World Cup, scheduled to be hosted jointly by Oman and United Arab Emirates, starting next month.

The BCB also named leg-spinner Aminul Islam and pacer Rubel Hossain as standby.

Mahmudullah will lead the side as they begin their campaign in the first round taking on Scotland in their opening game on October 17.

Bangladesh will then face Oman and Papua New Guinea on October 19 and 21 respectively, hoping to be one of the top two teams from Group B to progress to the next round, the Super 12s.
