Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited captain Shakib al Hasan expressed humble apology after losing his temper and venting fury during their Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 match against Abahani Limited in Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Friday.

Shakib first lost his cool when umpire Imran Parvez turned down his lbw decision against Mushfiqur Rahim in the last ball of the fifth over of Abahani's innings, as the Bangladesh all-rounder kicked at the stumps after shouting at Parvez.

In the second incident just five deliveries later, Shakib uprooted the stumps and threw them to the pitch after the umpires called off play due to rain interruption, and also behaved in an unsporting manner with the umpire.

Later, the 34-year old Shakib was also seen in an angry exchange with Abahani coach Khaled Mahmud Sujon before players and officials of both teams separated the two.
