Bangladesh elected to field first in the first Test of the two-match series against Zimbabwe in Harare on Wednesday.
Zimbabwe scored 22 runs losing two wickets till filing of the report at 3:10pm Bangladesh standard time.
Pacer Robiul Islam has got both the ripped off Zimbabwean opener Vusimuzi Sibanda's wicket in the ninth over.
Bangladesh is boosted by the return of all-rounder Shakib, who missed the Sri Lanka series with a calf injury. Though he is not fully healed, he is expected to bat only in this game. Opening batsman Tamim Iqbal is out of action but in the squad, still nursing a fractured thumb.
The match is being telecast live by satellite television channels Maasranga and Ten Cricket.
The main cause of concern is going into the Test with a weakened pace attack. In the absence of Mashrafe Bin Mortaza the selectors have been forced to call up Shahadat Hossain who is not in quite a good form recently and Sajjidul Islam, who last played in 2008 on debut against New Zealand.
Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have played five Tests against Pakistan, New Zealand and West Indies -- in which they tasted defeat.
In today’s match, Zimbabwe also have a number of absentees, as fast bowler Chris Mpofu is out with a lower back injury, while Craig Ervine didn't sign the new contract. As a result, Kyle Jarvis is expected to lead the pace attack.
On the other hand, batsmen Tino Mawoyo and Regis Chakabva are out of the squad due to injuries - leaving veterans Hamilton Masakadza and Brendan Taylor with a huge burden.
