Prime Doleshwar reached top of the points table of Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier League after round five as they beat Mohammedan Sporting Club in a rain-effected match at BKSP Ground-4, Savar on Tuesday.
Old DOHS Sports Club on the other hand, got their second win beating Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity at BKSP Ground 3 while Legends of Rupganj won against Shinepukur Cricket Club at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
Doleshwar v MSC
In the six-over per side match Doleshwar made a flying start after losing the toss as their openers Imran Uzzaman and Shamim Hossain piled up 68 runs off just 23 balls.
The wicket-keeper batsman Imran played a whirlwind knock of 41 off just 14 balls before he was dismissed. The 26-year old right-hander, who is hailed from Jessore, was adjudged man of the match while his partner Shamim remained not out on 29 though their side could add just 10 runs losing four wickets in last 14 balls to finish on 78-4.
Abu Jayed got two wickets conceding just four runs in his solitary over.
In reply, MSC made a completely contrasting start by losing both their openers for golden ducks. Captain Shakib al Hasan got 22 off 14 while Nadif Chowdhury and Irfan Shukkur got 16 and 11 each but they finished well short on 56-4, losing by 22 runs.
Shafiqul Islam, opening bowler of Dolehswar returned with 2-22 from two overs.
Rupganj v Shinepukur
After losing the toss Rupganj got off to a disastrous start losing three wickets for just nine runs in the 12-over per side match. But Sunazamul Islam and Sabbir Rahman steadied the ship with a 39-run stand before the latter was dismissed for 16. Sunzamul scored highest 24 off 17 while Naeem Islam and Sohag Gazi made unbeaten 18 and 13 respectively that helped their side end on 81-6.
Sumon Khan ended with 3-20 for Shinepukur.
In reply, Shinepukur had an even worse start losing their first four batters within just five runs. Left-arm spinner Nabil Samad looked impossible to play as the 34-year old returned with a jaw-dropping figure of 2-1-1-3.
Mahidul Islam Ankan scored 30 off 23 while Sumon Khan and Robiul Haque added 12 and 15 respectively but those were not enough as their side ended on 67-6, losing by 14 runs.

Old DOHS v KSKS
After winning the toss khelaghar opener Aminul Islam Emon gave a strong start with his 44-run innings of 27 balls in the 13-over per side game. Rayan Rahman and Mahmudul Hasan joy added 37 and 29 runs to help their side finish on 120/4.
KSKS, in reply, were reduced to 12-2 in third over and although opener Imtiaz Hossain scored 33 and skipper Jahurul Islam remained not out on 37, KSKS finished on 103-5, losing by 17 runs.
