Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited maintained their winning run, while Old DOHS picked up their first victory of the ongoing Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Saturday.

Opener Parvez Hossain Emon’s half-century and joint effort by the bowlers inspired Mohammedan to a 27-run victory against Prime Bank Cricket Club in the last game of the day.

Mohammedan’s third win in as many games outshone Prime Bank pacer Mustafizur Rahman’s second five-for in the format.

In pursuit of 151, Prime Bank's chase was cut to 123 as Mohammedan pacers Taskin Ahmed and Abu Jayed picked up three wickets apiece.

Taskin gave away only 15 runs in 3.3 overs, while Jayed conceded 33.

Mohammad Mithun's 18-ball 25 involving two over boundaries was the best score in Prime Bank's innings.

Prime Bank captain Tamim Iqbal was the only other batsman to touch 20 runs in the innings.

Earlier, Mohammedan chose to bat first and Emon’s 50 off 38 and Shamsur Rahman’s 33 pushed the innings to 150 despite a struggle in the lower middle-order.

Mustafizur pierced through the middle- and lower-order, and finished with five wickets conceding 22 runs in his quota of four overs.
