The Bangabandhu Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League Twenty20 resumed after a one-day forced break due to inclement weather as three matches took place in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Wednesday.
Prime Doleshwar Sporting Club, Gazi Group Cricketers and Prime Bank Cricket Club came out as winners in their respective games.
In the first match of the day, Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Samity won the toss and elected to field first.
Asked to bat first, Doleshwar posted a decent total of 149 runs losing six wickets in their stipulated 20 overs.
Opener Imranuzzaman was the top-scorer with a whirlwind 40 off just 17 deliveries with the aid of three fours and four sixes.
Saif Hasan scored 28, while Marshal Ayub made 21 to help them put up a fighting total.
Khaled Ahmed and Masum Khan picked up two wickets apiece for Khelaghar.
In reply, Khelaghar lost regular wickets from the beginning and managed to score 130 losing all wickets in their allotted 20 overs.
Farhad Hossain scored 33 off 35 deliveries and Rishad Hossain played a quickfire 37 off 19 balls for Khelaghar in the late stage of the innings, but those efforts were not enough to clinch a win.
Kamrul Islam, Riajul Islam and Enamul Haque Jr bagged two wickets each for Doleshwar.
