BCB HP Unit win lone three-dayer by 21 runs

The BCB High Performance Unit ended their tour of Australia on a winning note, defeating host Northern Territory Invitational XI by 21 runs at Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Saturday. With the win, the BCB HP Unit finished their 16-day long tour with a 100% winning rate. The Bangladesh cricketers first whitewashed the home side in the one-day series 5-0 and then went on to win the only three-day game of the tour. The BCB HP Unit are scheduled to travel back to Dhaka on Sunday. The BCB HP Unit had declared their first innings on 312 for six wickets, riding on Irfan Sukkur’s unbeaten 104. Replying to the BCB HP Unit score, Northern Territory took a 40-run lead before declaring on 352 for seven. In the second innings, BCB HP Unit made 229 before losing all wickets, setting a 189-run target for the home side. Northern Territory's chase was restricted by the Bangladesh bowlers as the home side got all out scoring 168. "Both teams should be complimented for playing attacking and positive cricket," said BCB HP head coach Simon Helmot.
