Update : 17 Jul 2017, 01:21 AM
Host Northern Territory Invitational XI took a first-innings lead of four runs against the visiting BCB High Performance Unit, riding on an unbeaten hundred from Dickman as they ended the second day’s play on 316 for the loss of three wickets in 90 overs at Marrara Cricket Ground in Darwin on Friday. The home side made a solid start coming into their reply after BCB HP Unit declared their first innings on 312/6 on day one, courtesy Irfan Sukkur's unbeaten century. In reply, Hackney and McSweeney added 84 runs for the opening stand. McSweeney however, was dismissed by Nihaduzzaman after scoring 40 off 83 balls with eight fours while Hackney was unlucky to miss out on his hundred by just three runs as he made 97 off 187 balls, featuring nine fours. Hackney was trapped in front by Tanbir Hayder.

The tourist then scripted a fightback of some sort as Tanbir picked up his second wicket, that of Gregory, who made 17. But Dickman and Doyle put together 105 unbroken runs for the fourth wicket as Northern Territory went ahead by four runs. Dickman remained undefeated on 102 off 170 deliveries, including nine fours and a six, while Doyle was not out on 46 off 69 balls with the help of half a dozen boundaries. BCB HP Unit bowlers remained bite-less as none of the speedsters were able to pick up a wicket and it proved to be costly for the visiting side.BRIEF SCORENTI XI 316/3 in 90 overs (Dickman 102*, Hackney 97) lead BCB HP Unit 312/6d (Irfan 104*, Maruf 87) by four runs
