Hosts Sri Lanka have scored 291 runs losing just one wicket from 72 at stumps on day one against Bangladesh in the second and final Test match at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy Thursday.
Openers Dimuth Karunaratne and Lahiru Thirimanne both scored century as Sri Lanka dominated all three sessions.
Sri Lanka skipper Karunaratne scored 118 before getting out against pacer Shoriful Islam. Other opener Thirimanne also scored century and remained unbeaten on .
The hosts were on 188 without loss from 58 overs at tea with Karunaratne on 105 and Thirimanne on 80 as the Bangladesh bowlers grafted hard under the scorching sun.

Sri Lanka earlier won the toss and decided to bat first in the series decider.
Bangladesh made one change to their playing XI from the first Test as left-arm seamer Shariful Islam made his debut replacing right-arm pacer Ebadat Hossain.
The Lankans made two changes with the injured Lahiru Kumara and leg-spinner Wanindu Hasaranga making way for left-arm spinner Praveen Jayawickrama and all-rounder Ramesh Mendis respectively.
