Bangladesh Emerging Women won the fourth match of the five-match one-day series against the South Africa Emerging team riding on in-form Nigar Sulatana’s century as they defeated the visitors by 110 runs at Sylhet International Stadium on Sunday.
South African side had to take their flight home on Sunday evening without playing the fifth and final match of the series due to impending flight restrictions.
Opting to bat first, Bangladesh women posted a challenging total of 234 runs losing just four wickets in their stipulated 50 overs.
Nigar, who also scored century in the second match, smashed a brilliant unbeaten hundred as the number three batter scored 101 facing 132 deliveries. She struck eight boundaries and one six in her brilliant innings.
Sobhana Mostari scored 45 off 52 deliveries while Lata Mondol scored a quikfire 25 off 16 deliveries.
In reply, South Africa Emerging team managed to score only 126 runs losing nine wickets in 46.5 overs.
Bangladesh spinners bowled well with accuracy and were in control of the match while defending 234.
Fahima Khatun was the best bowler for Bangladesh as she took four wickets conceding 29 runs in 9.5 overs.
Nigar was adjudged player of the match for her unbeaten century.
