Bangladesh right-arm pacer Hasan Mahmud has been ruled out from the three-match T20 series against hosts New Zealand.
The young Bangladesh pacer has failed to regain fitness on a stiff back, and thus returned to Dhaka along with ODI captain Tamim Iqbal Saturday.
“The 21-year old has not trained or played due to a stiff back following the first ODI in Dunedin. Mahmud left for Dhaka along with Tamim. He will continue his recovery under the supervision of the BCB medical team,” said BCB in a statement.

Bangladesh opener Tamim had already announced his decision of taking leave during the T20 series against the Black Caps because of personal reasons.
Meanwhile, Mossadek Hossain has recovered sufficiently from his knee injury to be available for the T20s.
Bangladesh will lock horns in the T20 series starting today on the back of conceding a 3-0 whitewash in the ODI series.
