The West Indies' historic three-wicket win in numbers:

1 – Kyle Mayers is the first cricketer to have scored 200 in the fourth innings on debut.

2 – Mayers and Nkrumah Bonner’s 216-run stand is now the second best partnership by two Test debutants. Highest belongs to Pakistan’s Khalid Ibadullah and Abdul Kadir who formed 249-run stand against Australia in Karachi in 1964. 

2 – Mayers’ 210*is the second highest score on debut by a West Indian. Lawrence Rowe scored 214 in his debut against New Zealand in 1971/72. 

4 – Mayers is the fourth player to cross 100 runs on Test debut against Bangladesh after Pakistan duo Taufeeq Umar, Yasir Hameed and South Africa’s Jacques Rudolph.

Debutant Kyle Mayers hit an epic unbeaten 210 to inspire the West Indies to a historic three-wicket win against hosts Bangladesh at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the port city Sunday.

6 – Mayers is the sixth cricketer to score 200 in the fourth innings, and the third West Indian after George Headley and Gordon Greenidge.

14 –Mayers is the 14th West Indian to cross 100 runs on Test debut, Kirk Edwards being the 13th and last to do so against India in Dominica in 2011.

395 – This is the highest successful run chase in Asia, and the fifth highest overall. The previous highest in Asia was Sri Lanka’s 388 against Zimbabwe in Colombo in 2017. The highest ever successful chase in 4th innings in history also belongs to the Caribbean side as they reached 418 against Australia in 2003.
