The U-19 Asia Cup, previously scheduled to begin on November 18 this year in the United Arab Emirates, has been postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The ninth edition of the regional age-level tournament will now take place sometime next year.
Reigning world champion Bangladesh, defending U-19 winner India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and host UAE, along with two teams from the qualifiers, were slated to take part in the U-19 Asia Cup.
Despite the postponement, the U-19 team sans the players currently participating in the BCB President’s Cup, will continue their camp at BKSP under head coach Naveed Nawaz.
