On a sad day when news emerged of former Bangladesh one-day international captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza and ex-opening batsman Nafees Iqbal testing Covid-19 positive, left-arm spinner Nazmul Islam has suffered the same fate.
Nazmul said he has been feeling unwell since last week, following which he took the test Wednesday.
The result came out positive Saturday afternoon.
"I went to Narsingdi last week for donation purposes. Ever since returning from there, I've been feeling unwell. I took the test Wednesday, it came out positive Saturday afternoon. Now I'm in isolation at my room," Nazmul told the media.
It should be mentioned that the 29-year old has been involved in different humanitarian efforts ever since the coronavirus outbreak.
