The Bangladesh women’s cricket team clinched the Twenty20 quadrangular series in India as they beat India B side by 14 runs in the final in Patna Wednesday.

Bangladeshi batters could accumulate only 117 runs batting first but their bowlers did a splendid job restricting the opponent to 103/8.

The winning margin was the same by which Bangladesh lost to the same opponent in the group stage.

Bangladesh's Jahanara Alam was adjudged player of the final BCB

India A and Thailand were the other two teams in the tournament.

After winning the toss, Bangladesh opener Murshida Khatun and one-down Sanjida Islam scored 34 runs each to put up a fighting total.

Skipper Salma Khatun and Jahanara Alam bowled economically, picking up two wickets apiece, conceding 18 and 17 runs respectively.
