There are concerns surrounding England's tour of Bangladesh in September this year but if the series does go ahead, it will be exactly 14 months since the Tigers played their last Test match.
One of the Bangladesh members of that Dhaka Test is Nasir Hossain, who was at the non-striking end on 13 but was unable to prolong his knock as rain played havoc for the remainder of the five-dayer.
But according to the Rangpur cricketer, he hardly remembers memories of that Test match.
“Test cricket is obviously tough. If we play at home then fine but if we play away then it's obviously tough for us. You are saying 14 months but I don't even remember when I last played Test cricket. I can't remember actually,” Nasir told the media at Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Monday during the ongoing conditioning camp.
The 24-year old played his last ODI in December, 2015, and did not feature in a single game in the 2016 World Twenty20 in India.
However, the all-rounder, who enjoyed a productive campaign in the recently concluded Dhaka Premier League scoring 528 runs and picking up 14 wickets, is still determined to establish his place in all three formats of the game.
“Whenever you score runs at any level, it always boosts your confidence. And I scored runs in almost every game apart from a few matches in the Dhaka league. I don't get enough overs to bat. I usually bat for around 15-20 or 20-25 overs. My aim was to become the highest run-scorer. Overall, I am happy with my performance in the league,” he added.
