Bangladesh Cricket Board’s cricket operations committee chairman Akram Khan informed that players and the team management will decide whether they will take part in a day-night Test match against India next month.
“We were approached (by India) to play a pink-ball Test match. We will discuss the matter with our players and the coaching staff after the practice match. We want to hear from them whether they are interested in playing such a match,” said Akram Khan to the media at the SBNS on Monday.
“The players and coaches will decide about the pink-ball match. They haven’t played any matches with the pink ball and didn’t practice with it either. So their opinion is very important,” he added.
Bangladesh will play two Test matches against India, the number one Test team in the current ICC rankings, in Indore and Kolkata in November.
Earlier, BCB CEO Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed last week that an invitation has been received from the BCCI, requesting to turn the second and final Test into a day-night affair.

The Tigers are scheduled to take on India in the Eden Gardens in Kolkata from November 2. This is the second time Bangladesh have received an invitation to play a Test with the pink ball.
Earlier this year, New Zealand asked Bangladesh’s opinion on playing a longer-version game in twilight.
BCB ruled out the request, saying the Bangladesh players needed to prepare themselves for a day-night Test first.
India have already announced their Test squad for the series but Bangladesh will a take few more days to announce the squad.
It will be a tough ask for Bangladesh as experienced opener Tamim Iqbal is ruled out from the series due to personal reasons.
