A team start Sri Lanka tour Monday

Top-order batsman Soumya Sarkar and spinner-allrounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz are set to feature in the game after the duo missed out on the ongoing tri-nation T20I series involving Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and host Bangladesh

Bangladesh A team will begin their tour of Sri Lanka taking on the host in the first of the two-match four-day cricket series in Katunayake Monday.

Top-order batsman Soumya Sarkar and spinner-allrounder Mehedi Hasan Miraz are set to feature in the game after the duo missed out on the ongoing tri-nation T20I series involving Afghanistan, Zimbabwe and host Bangladesh.

Miraz was put out from the whole series while Soumya lost his place from the national dressing room after the first two games of the series where he scored four and nought. 

Left-handed top-order batsman Mominul Haque will lead Bangladesh A team which also includes Mohammad Mithun, Shadman Islam and Abu Jayed, among others. 

Bangladesh A team in their 25-day long tour of the island will also play a three-game one-day series against the host nation.
