Rain-marred four-dayer drawn

Rain played spoilsport as the majority of the tie was marred by inclement weather with only one innings possible

The two-match four-day series between Bangladesh Emerging Team and their Sri Lankan counterparts ended in a 0-0 draw after the second and final game concluded in a stalemate Friday in Cox’s Bazar.

Rain played spoilsport as the majority of the tie was marred by inclement weather with only one innings possible.

The home side posted 208 runs losing three wickets in 66 overs in their first innings with unbeaten batsmen Afif Hossain Dhrubo and Nazmul Hossain Shanto scoring 100 and 88 respectively.

Openers Saif Hasan (four) and Aminul Islam Biplob (nine) and middle-order batsman Yasir Ali (nought) all departed for low scores.

The first four-dayer between the two sides was also drawn while the visiting side earlier won the three-match one-day series 2-1.
