Bangladesh Emerging Women’s cricket team leveled the three-match unofficial ODI series against their South African counterparts after winning the second and penultimate game by four wickets in Pretoria Thursday.
Batting first, the home side posted 238 losing nine wickets in their stipulated 50 overs, opener Robyn Searle top-scoring with 96 off 111 balls.
Together with the other opening batter, Tanzim Brits (45), Searle put on 155 for the opening wicket.
No 3 batter Trisha Chetty made 56 but none of the others reached double digit as the women in red and green came back to the game.
Leg-spinner and player of the match Khadija tul Kubra bagged four wickets while seamer Ritu Moni and left-arm spinner Nahida Akter notched two and one respectively.
In reply, the visiting side reached their destination with eight balls remaining.

The Bangladeshis suffered a hiccup though early on as opener Sharmin Sultana and No 3 batter Nuzhat Tasnia were dismissed for nought and eight respectively.
Fighting knocks however, from opener Murshida Khatun (48), Ritu (42) and No 4 batter Shaila Sharmin (31) recovered the early damage.
Unbeaten batters Nigar Sultana (29*) and Sobhana Mostary (29*) guided their side home.
The two sides will now lock horns in the third and final unofficial ODI Sunday at the same venue.
The Proteas women had earlier won the first match by 47 runs Tuesday.
