Afghanistan faced Bangladesh in their very first World Cup match.
In the group stage match in 2015, Bangladesh had batted first and fought their way to a reasonable total of 267, thanks to half centuries from Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim.
Bangladesh head coach Steve Rhodes said Afghanistan have a quality spin bowling attack and although Tigers respect the attack they don’t fear it. https://t.co/j8d91T3C91#BanvAfg #WorldCup2019

In response, the Afghans kept losing wickets in regular intervals and only managed to score 162 before getting all-out in the 43rd over. Bangladesh captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza took three wickets, giving away just 20 runs in nine overs.
The Tigers comfortably won their only World Cup encounter against Afghanistan by 105 runs.
