According to media reports, the PCB wishes for Bangladesh to visit the country for a short tour and is looking to discuss this issue with the BCB in the sidelines of the ICC meeting next month.
The PCB chairman Shaharyar Khan however, said on Monday that they do not see bright chances of hosting Bangladesh and might ask the BCB to compensate if Pakistan do visit Bangladesh in July-August.
"We will now revisit that decision as Pakistan (have) already toured Bangladesh at least twice in the past,” the PCB boss added.
No specific financial compensation figure however, has yet been mentioned by the PCB.
Meanwhile, the BCB's media and communications committee chairman Jalal Younus said they are yet to get an official proposal from the PCB. Only then can they discuss it further.
The BCB director also informed that he could not find logic behind the compensation proposal, which the PCB is apparently planning to claim.
"Even the ICC had a fact finding team visit the country and did not see any development as of yet,” Jalal told Dhaka Tribune last Thursday.
Jalal said the BCB would have no problems if the proposed T20I series is held at a neutral venue but stated that the PCB has no grounds to ask for compensation.
Since the terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team in 2009 in Lahore, Pakistan have been hosting their home matches in the UAE.
In April, 2015, the BCB paid around $300,000 to the PCB for missing two tours to Pakistan in 2012. Later that month, Pakistan toured Bangladesh. The visiting side lost both the three-match ODI series and the one-off T20I.
