Bangladesh team have full confidence that pacer Mustafizur Rahman will bounce back strongly sooner or later as the left-armer is a key weapon in the Bangladesh bowling department.
Mustafizur did not play the practice match against Ireland Wolves, and later conceded 84 runs in his quota of 10 overs in the first ODI while all the other bowlers bowled economically against the West Indies in Dublin Tuesday.
In the last ODI prior to Tuesday’s match against the Windies, Mustafizur gave away 93 runs against New Zealand in the third and final ODI of the series in Dunedin back in February this year.
The pacer is on road to getting back his rhythm and the team management believes he will come back to form soon.

“Actually a player should not be judged by seeing scoreboard only. You have to consider that Mustafizur always bowls at a very crucial time of the innings where generally batsman try to score freely. If any other bowler bowls in that situation then he might concede a lot of runs as well. We have to accept that fact,” said Shakib al Hasan Wednesday when asked about their performance in the first ODI.
“Sometimes we judge a player from a general point of view, that he has conceded many runs or did not score. But small contributions in crucial times are always important for the team. May be Mustafizur conceded few runs but he will perform well soon,” Shakib added.
Mustafizur has played 44 ODIs for the Tigers so far and took 79 wickets with an economy rate of 4.81.
