The West Indies opener Evin Lewis played a destructive innings of 89 runs off just 36 balls against the Tigers in the third and final match of the T20I series in Mirpur Saturday.
The Windies were asked to bat first and Lewis just wrecked havoc against the Tigers’ bowlers. The left-hander hit half a dozen fours and eight sixers all over the park, in an exhibition of brutal power and tremendous hitting.
Lewis scored 26 runs in the third over against pacer Abu Haider Rony, including four sixes. One of those four maximums went miles as officially, it was recorded as 105m long.

But that was not the biggest. In the sixth over, Lewis hit another huge over boundary, this time against pacer Saifuddin.
It was a shortish delivery and Lewis whacked it over deep square leg and the ball almost hit the electronic scoreboard stationed at the gallery. And guess what, it was 107m long.
The West Indies were eventually all out for 190 in 19.2 overs but Lewis’ innings was the perfect display of power-hitting in T20 cricket.
