Bangladesh batsman Mahmudullah once again celebrated his century in a pious manner, and he said he dedicated his century to his mother.
The right-handed middle-order batsman made 136, his career-best, in the first innings of the second and final Test match against the West Indies in Mirpur Saturday, and celebrated the century in his usual manner, offering a sizdah.
It was a special innings as he scored his second century in just a fortnight after a hiatus of eight years.
And he acknowledged the role of his guardian at the press conference after the end of the day’s play.
Nervous ninety is the term that has been incorporated with batsmen since the inception of cricket, but ace @BCBtigers all-rounder @Sah75official has become a regular prey of a different shakiness - the “edgy” eighty.https://t.co/EXqbOpKrBX#BCBTIGERS #BCB #TIGERS #WINDIES #CWI

“The target of my celebration was my family, my wife, my little child. I want to dedicate my century to my mother because my parents pray for me all the time. It’s true, every parent do so. But I think they deserve it. So, I dedicate the ton to my mother,” said Mahmudullah.
Bangladesh were in a commanding position in the match at stumps on day two, as they reduced the opponent to 75-5 after posting 508 on the board.
Bangladesh won the first match of the two-Test series by 64 runs in Chittagong.
