Miles guitarist Hamin to play for Khulna in Masters Cricket Carnival

Renowned guitarist of popular music band Miles, Hamin Ahmed is all set to play for Raw Nation Khulna Masters in the Masters Cricket Carnival, starting next Wednesday in the coastal town of Cox's Bazar. It should be mentioned that Hamin was a handy opening batsman and a part-time bowler in the 1980s when he featured for Abahani Limited and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited. The multi-talented Hamin also represented Bangladesh in the 1986 ICC Trophy.

The Walton Masters Cricket Carnival will be played in accordance with the newest format of the game – 100 balls per innings. Five teams will face each other in the group stage with the best two sides progressing to the final, scheduled for May 5. This is the third edition of the tournament. Gemcon Khulna emerged as the champion in the first edition while Acme Rajshahi Masters and Expo All Stars were declared joint champion last year.
