Wheelchair T20 tri-series: Bangladesh beat India by six wickets

Bangladesh wheelchair cricket team continued their winning streak in India as they defeated the home side by six wickets in the opening match of the T20 tri-series in Mumbai Saturday. After losing the opening game by just one run, Bangladesh came back strong to defeat host India in the three-match bilateral T20 series last week, clinching the series 2-1 following seven-wicket wins in the second and third game. And in the tri-series also involving Nepal, Bangladesh opened their campaign with a convincing victory against the Indians.

Batting first, India posted 150 losing nine wickets in their stipulated 20 overs, Sourav top-scoring with 93. Bangladesh's Mohidul Islam bagged five wickets. In reply, Bangladesh reached their destination with two overs remaining, Mithu scoring the highest 76 for his side. Sajjad and Ripon chipped in with 21 and 19 respectively. Sourav picked up two wickets for India while Hukum and Laxman took a wicket apiece. Bangladesh will take on Nepal in the second match of the tri-series Sunday.
