Bangladesh opener Pinak Ghosh had a brilliant knock of 82 for 93 balls in which he had eight 4’s and one 6. Skipper Saif Hassan (61) provided some much needed stability as the other opener Mohammad Naim (14) fell early. Pakistan’s Munir Riaz was threatening as he took 3 wickets conceding only 53 runs in 8 overs. Pakistan’s opening duo was dismissed fast as Muhammad Arif fell for 4 runs. Mohammad Taha steadied Pakistans help with his innings of 92 runs in 97 balls till he was caught out by Nayeem Hasan from Qazi Onik’s delivery. Rain stopped the play in the 39th over as Bangladesh bowlers picked up momentum once more.
