Khulna Titans look to end Sylhet phase on a high note

Khulna Titans will play their second match of BPL 2017, and final game of the Sylhet phase, when they face Sylhet Sixers at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium Wednesday evening. Khulna lost their first match against defending champion Dhaka Dynamites as their bowlers conceded some quick runs in the first 10 overs and eventually, Dhaka set a 203-run target.The Titans practised at Sylhet District Stadium Tuesday in two groups. Pacer Abu Jayed Rahi said Khulna have a formidable batting line-up. In their opening game of the fifth edition of the tournament, the target was huge but Khulna had the ability to overcome it. “I think the first match ended quickly before us realising it. But during net session I have realised that we have a strong batting line-up. Maybe the target was big, that’s why batsmen got nervous in the previous game. But I hope everything will be fine from the next match onwards,” Jayed said to the media after training.Rahi bowled well in the first game as he finished with bowling figure of 2/29. In the Sixers, he will be up against his hometown. The right-arm paceman though hopes to perform well for the Titans and repay the faith showed in him by the franchise. “I bowled well in the first over. But I have to continue it. Khulna have chosen me with high expectation. I hope I can return the favour to the team,” said the 24-year old.
