Women’s Cricket League player transfer completed

The Women's Premier Division Cricket League player transfer was completed in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday. The tournament will start from next Monday. A total of nine teams will participate in this year’s Premier Division Cricket League. The teams are Rupali Bank Krira Parishad, Khelaghar Samaj Kalyan Sangho, Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, Abahani Limited, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan, Gulshan Youth Club Limited, Indira Road Krira Chakra, Kalabagan Krira Chakra and Hilllol Jubo Sangho. Defending champion Rupali Bank Krira Parishad have retained key players like Rumana Ahmed and Ayesha Rahman Shuktara.

Rumana is the captain of the Bangladesh team. Former skipper and pacer Jahanara Alam has renewed her contract with Abahani. While another former skipper and all-rounder Salma Khatun will play for Mohammedan. The Premier Division Cricket League was scheduled to start last April but due to unavailability of grounds, the women’s wing of BCB could not manage to start the league. This time around, maximum matches of the league will be held at the BKSP grounds.
