Victory Day T20 teams announced

Bangladesh Cricket Board announced the two teams - Shaheed Jewel XI and Shaheed Mushtaque XI - for the Victory Day Exhibition T20 match, scheduled to be held on Friday in Mirpur's Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Cricket’s governing body in the country arranges the exhibition match every year to pay tribute to valiant freedom fighters Shaheed Abdul Halim Chowdhury Jewel and Shaheed Mushtaque Ahmed, who both used to play the sport. Shaheed Jewel and Shaheed Mushtaque both lost their lives during the liberation war in 1971. The former cricketers were divided into two teams with Akram Khan the captain of Shaheed Mushtaque XI comprising the likes of Naimur Rahman MP, Minhajul Abedin and Khaled Mahmud, among others. They will be up against Khaled Mashud’s Shaheed Jewel XI.
