Ashraful returns to SBNS with century

Update : 12 Dec 2016, 01:14 AM
Former Bangladesh captain Mohammad Ashraful scored a century against Bangladesh under-19 team in Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Sunday. Bangladesh U-19 side will depart for Sri Lanka on Tuesday for the upcoming Asian Cricket Council's U-19 Asia Cup. Before that, the national U-19 team took part in a practice match by dividing themselves into two sides – Bangladesh Cricket Board Red and BCB Green. Ashraful was the captain of the BCB Red team. He batted at No 3 and scored 115 runs off 110 deliveries. BCB Red side posted 224 runs. Afif Hossain, who played for Rajshahi Kings in the just-concluded Bangladesh Premier League Twenty20 2016-17 season, was among Ashraful’s opponent. Ashraful returned to competitive action in September this year after serving a three-year ban for his involvement in corruption in the 2013 BPL.
