The Bangladesh crowd is yet to witness the demolition of “Killer Miller” as the South African is eager to break out of the shell and live up to his billing. David Miller, the left-hander who carries the reputation of destroying the opposition with his ultra-attacking batting, is yet to get a chance to showcase his capabilities against Bangladesh as his only glimpse was in the second Twenty20 international where he made an unbeaten 30 off 28 balls. Miller scored one in the first T20I while he was not required to bat in their eight-wicket win in the first ODI on Friday.
With the second game of their three-match ODI series taking place today, Miller is expecting to get the chance to go out and bat according to his reputation while he also believes Bangladesh will be tougher to beat given that it is the deciding game.
Miller, whose strike-rate in ODIs is 102.56, said, “I would rather be a ‘Killer Miller’ to come out in this tournament. We just have to wait and see. I am itching to get an opportunity to bat out there. I always want to contribute towards team success.
“Definitely they are not going to go down without a fight. They have done really well beating India and Pakistan. We know that they are going to be up for a good scrap tomorrow (today) and we are as well. We know it’s going to be a great challenge and we are going to be at our best.
“That’s what we love to do. Obviously wrap up the series tomorrow (today). But first thing is to win a game and we just have to concentrate on one ball at a time.”
The 26-year old also added that they are not thinking about the Tigers too much and instead concentrating more on their own interior.
Miller also praised his younger teammate Kagiso Rabada whose mind blowing debut - six wickets including a hat-trick - made a huge difference in the previous game.
