The shoot for BTV’s popular magazine program Ananda Mela is in full swing now. To provide the audience with some extra dosage of entertainment, film star Riaz and actress Meher Afroz Shaon are hosting the program for the upcoming Eid.
“Ananda Mela is one of the most popular programs of BTV. Each one of the Ananda Mela episodes have their own speciality, which is also true for the coming instalment. Shaon and I will host the program with our stories,” said Riaz.
Shaon, on the other hand, promised a non-traditional anchoring for the audience, saying, “I am not an anchor. But in this Ananda Mela, I am going to work with my long-time colleague Riaz. Our work won’t be a traditional one, rather Riaz and I will host the program by telling stories. That’s the reason I became interested in hosting the program.”
“I won’t be seen in any other program except Ananda Mela this Eid. There’s also another thing I must say, my identity as an artist developed through BTV. Working in this program gave me the feel of travelling down memory lane,” she added.
Planned and set up by the director general of BTV, SM Harun-ur-Rashid, and directed by Mahfuza Akter, Ananda Mela will air on the night of Eid at 10:30.
