Bangladeshi-origin American musician and DJ Sanjoy Deb will perform in Dhaka on July 19, ahead of the FIFA World Cup final, at Fan Fest 2.0 in Banani.
The 6-day festival, organized by Triple Time Communications at Kamal Ataturk Park, will feature live screenings of the World Cup semi-finals and final, along with concerts, DJ performances, and interactive entertainment.
Sanjoy, who performed at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup during the Canada leg of the tournament, drew international attention for incorporating Bangladeshi symbols into his stage outfit.
The festival begins on July 14 with the France-Spain semi-final, featuring performances by Firoze Jong and DJ Sumon. The England-Argentina semi-final on July 15 will include performances by Black Zang and DJ Tonmoy.
Singer Tasnim Anika and DJ Prionty will perform on July 16, followed by Mila Islam, DJ Rishad, and DJ Trisha on July 17. DJ Sunny will perform on July 18.
The festival will conclude on July 19 with Sanjoy and DJ Jadu performing ahead of the World Cup final.
Advance tickets are available through Ticket Tomorrow. Tickets cost Tk500 for each of the first two days, Tk300 for each of the following three days, and Tk700 for the final day. Events will begin daily at 6pm.
Born in Sreemangal, Sanjoy was raised in the United States and is now based in Los Angeles. He has collaborated with artists including Arijit Singh, Guru Randhawa, Sunidhi Chauhan, Jonita Gandhi, Benny Dayal, Nora Fatehi, Kona, Habib Wahid, and Xefer.
