Bangladesh sports commentator Chowdhury Jafarullah Sharafat took to Facebook on Saturday to fight back the social media backlash over star couple Tahsan and Mithila’s divorce.
Jafarullah praised Tahsan for his role in helping the music industry of Bangladesh grow. He asked his followers to cease making inappropriate remarks about Mithila, and issued an ultimatum saying if he found anyone on his friend list talking ill of the couple, he would remove them.
His message reads:
“I am from the world of sports, not the world of music, but I would like to say a few words about Tahsan and Mithila. I brought Tahsan to Canadian University of Bangladesh as a teacher and brand ambassador. I like him because he is a very good person with very few demands. He is a national treasure. He is popular both as a musician and an actor. Please refrain from speaking ill of both Tahsan and Mithila. And if anyone among my friends on Facebook does so, God has given me the right to remove them. Please do not use Mithila’s photos to spread vulgar remarks, because to insult Mithila would be tantamount to insulting Tahsan. Even Tahsan did not speak ill of her. He has helped our music industry and TV shows flourish. A traveller may stumble on the road that he travels, but he gets up and dusts himself off, even if he must trip again. Let the two of them be. Tahsan is a well-loved teacher at Canadian University of Bangladesh, he has a lot to teach. I believe Tahsan and Mithila will give their fans something to look forward, considering their child. Good luck, Tahsan. Good luck, Mithila. Keep rocking, looking great, go ahead”
