Renowned singer Sabina Yasmin has returned to the stage after a year, but during her performance, she unexpectedly collapsed.
On Friday, the esteemed artist performed at the event "Amader Sabina Yasmin: Ami Achi Thakbo", held at a five-star hotel in the capital.
However, she suddenly fell ill while singing.
She was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Gulshan, where initial reports suggested that she was in stable condition.
Despite her willingness to perform at Saturday’s show, her health deteriorated, prompting her transfer to the ICU.
The news was confirmed by singer Dithi Anwar, daughter of the late lyricist Gazi Mazharul Anwar.
Speaking about the incident, singer Jahangir Said said: "Sabina apa suffers from vertigo. While singing, she experienced an episode, lost her balance while reaching for the microphone stand, and collapsed. She was immediately taken to the hospital, where doctors administered preliminary treatment. By 10:30pm, we were on our way home and she seemed to be recovering."

She was also scheduled to perform at the same venue on Saturday as part of an HSBC Bangladesh initiative.
At the end of 2023, Sabina Yasmin performed multiple stage shows in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane, Australia.
However, she had not appeared on stage since then.
