Moushumi Hamid’s 'Noya Manush' coming soon

The film is set to release on December 6.

Moushumi Hamid is returning to the big screen with Sohel Rana Boyati’s “Noya Manush. Ahead of the release of the film, its trailer was released at a press conference. The film is set to release on December 6.

It is based on AMM Hasanuzzaman’s short story "Bedonar Balu Chore". The screenplay was written by Masum Reza. The story revolves around the lives of people living on the chars (river islands), how their lives were changed by floods.

The film’s shooting started in October 2022 but the set was severely damaged by the Super Cyclone Sitrang and the work was stopped. The work on the film resumed from April 6, 2023, and ended on April 12. After completing the post-production, it was submitted to the certification board on September 18, and the members watched the film on October 2 and registered the uncut certificate on October 23.

Expressing great optimism about the film, director Sohel Rana Boyati said, “After going through many ups and downs, my first film is finally going to see the light of day. Although I had many dreams about my first film, I had to face various problems at every moment. I set off outdoors for the shooting of this film with only 37 thousand taka. At one point, its production work was stopped due to lack of money. When I was disappointed with the film at the last moment, Khaled Bhai of G-Series took over. I made the movie with everyone's help. This movie will leave a mark on people's minds. Many people will want become a new person.”

Rawnak Hasan, 'This work is impossible to do with difficulty. All our words have been told through new man. For that, the movie must be watched. The movie will also give people's eyes a rest.'

Praising Mousumi Hamid, the actor said, 'Mousumi has completely blended in with the people of Char. So much so that she (Mousumi) never felt different. We fought a big battle for the movie. Everyone should come and watch the movie. The story of Bengal, soil and people is a new man.'

Mousumi Hamid said, 'This movie gives me strength. The journey of new man has been useful in my life. The movie was made after overcoming various obstacles. When the movie was closed, Nazmul Haque Bhuiyan (Khaled) took over. Without him, the movie would not have been finished. We are very optimistic about Naya Manush.

The film also stars Ashish Khandakar, Jhuna Chowdhury, Nilufer Wahid, Badruddoza, Smaran Saha, Shikha Karmakar, Mahin Rahman, Mehran Sanjana, Parveen Paru, and child star Ushashi, and many others.
