Lily Collins, who has won many hearts through her incredible acting in Love, Rosie, Rules don’t apply, etc has recently been told that she was too thin to pose for magazine covers.
After having to lose weight for portraying the character of a girl who is suffering from extreme anorexia and resisting any forms of help she is offered in the upcoming Netflix drama To The Bone, this British-American actress was confronted with the news that she wasn’t healthy enough to pose for magazine covers. However, Lily protested against this, saying that there were already images displaying extremely thin models in magazines and anorexia is an important issue that must be talked about openly.
Lily, who herself had suffered from anorexia during her teenage years, clearly expresses her struggle and fight against a disease that everyone thinks to be normal in her recent memoir Unfiltered: No Regrets, No Shame, Just Me.
Along with talking so openly about her hardships, she adds that as an actor it is very important to connect deeply with the character one is to play, and the script of To The Bone is where the motive of her life and the motive of the film combined. She further mentioned that to her, healthy used to represent perfection but now it represents how strong she is.
Optimistic, Lily is not someone to hold back her story anymore. Embracing her body, she is all ready to let go of her past and pose for the cover of Shape Magazine’s July-August issue.
