Bangladesh Awami League celebrated their Platinum Jubilee on June 23. For a this occasion a theme song has been produced to heighten the level of joy on the day and convey the party's rich history. The song has been created by music duo, lyricist Zulgiqer Russell and composer Pavel Arin.
A video has been made in tune with the lyrics of this celebratory song titled ‘Bangladesher Hridoy Jure Awami League er Naam’. The music video is directed by Ishtiaq Mahmood and produced by Bangladesh Awami League, the entire project was planned and coordinated by Barrister Biplab Barua, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The theme song sung by the chorus was released two days before the 'Platinum Jubilee' (June 21) on the verified Facebook page of Bangladesh Awami League and the social handles of its organizations.
Since the release of the song 'Awami League's name in the heart of Bangladesh', the people concerned have been praised. Especially the common people are expressing fascination with its rich words and depiction. Through the song, the aesthetic story of the 75 years of Bangladesh Awami League has been presented.
Regarding the writing of the song, National Film Award winning lyricist Zulfiqer Russell said, "There are very few precedents in the world of language movement, liberation war, freedom and progress with any other political party like Awami League. The head of that party is Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in whose hands this country was born. The next chapter is to move forward on the path of prosperity under the strong leadership of Bangabandhu's daughter, Deshratna Sheikh Hasina. Bangladesh Awami League is the perfect name for this freedom, understanding and development in the life of the Bengali nation. It is a pleasure to be a part of the party's platinum jubilee.”
Within 18 hours of the release of the song Bangladesher Hridoy Jure Awami League er Naam ', more than 500 shares have been shared only from the party's Facebook page. And the comments are full of compliments.
The song's composer-music director Pavel Arin said, “It is a great honor for me to be able to sing the theme song for the platinum jubilee of a party like Bangladesh Awami League. Zulfiqer Russell the lyricist of the song, was my first encourager in this regard. His enthusiasm and poetic lyrics gave me a long way to compose the melody of the song. We have done several theme songs together before. There is one more thing I felt about this song, that is freedom. The song was given to me by Barrister Biplab Barua. If he or the team did not have this freedom, as a music director, he would have to finish his duties like an arranger by playing drums and tabla. But for this song me and Russell have got full freedom and support, which is unbelievable. All in all, I am very happy to do this song.”
On the occasion of the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence and the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on March 26, 2021, a special song 'Bolo Joi Bangabandhu' with lyrics by Zulfiqer Russell and the voice of AR Rahman has been made. After that, for the 73rd founding anniversary of Bangladesh Awami League, the team's theme song was created for the first time in the words of Zulfiqer Russell and composed by Pavel Arin. The duo has also done several musical projects of Abul Khair Group with success.
